Novate Solutions Inc. an industrial process controls engineering and integration firm that provides engineering services to a variety of clients in industrial settings, is looking for a high-level Account Manager. This key individual will be client facing, offering engineering services that provide solutions to complex and challenging problems. The primary responsibility is account management to ensure client satisfaction with project and support efforts focusing on a primary key strategic client in Fremont, CA. The ideal candidate is a brilliant communicator (both verbally and in written format), highly self-motivated, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and has an eye for detail and is diligent with client follow up.


Responsibilities:

  • Daily coordination with client engineering and management teams to ensure that we are tracking on support and service program execution. This includes projects, support, and repair tasks.
  • Monitor project progress and support responses, facilitate communication, manage customer expectations, ensure completion of projects and support responses, and obtain acknowledgement from client.
  • Develop opportunities with customers by observing issues and listening for stated needs that align with our service offering, suggesting solutions, capturing requirements, and responding to customer requests for proposal.
  • Create and maintain rapport as a strategic partner with customers by engaging customers in strategic level discussions, demonstrating the contributions made by the company to support corporative initiatives, and securing participation in design, evaluation, and planning meetings.
  • Mediate issues, discrepancies, and concerns between the customer and the company by understanding and communicating customer needs professionally and effectively, setting proper expectations with the customer, balancing core values of the company with its limited resources and leading resolutions all the way through acknowledgement of the resolution by the customer.


  • Bachelor’s degree required in business or engineering, or a related field. MBA a plus.
  • Five (5) years experience as an account manager providing engineering services to industrial clients with a focus on automation and control.
  • Ability to anticipate customer’s needs and match them with the appropriate engineering services.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace work environment.
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities at all levels of company and various client organizations.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall company and client objectives.
  • Brilliant communication skills: verbal, written and presentation.
  • Ability to be the driving force ensuring a high level of collaboration with leadership and clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • Ability to travel to multiple client locations within the Bay Area and Sacramento. Some travel may be required out of state.
  • The ability to type 30 WPM.
  • Good DMV driving record.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

License/Certifications:

US Citizen. Valid CA driver’s license.


Physical Demands:

The ability to lift up to 25 pounds with frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and crawling into confined spaces.


Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel locally or out of the area when necessary.


Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Ability to pass a DOD security level background check.
